Howdy Cowboy!

Jameson turned 10 months on September 19th. I like to do a little mini-shoot for each month... It was about 85 degrees out yesterday so I had to do a naked cowboy shoot... I couldn't help it!!
I giggle in delight when I see my sweet boy clap his hands and say 'Eee!' for the camera... I dread the day when he will roll his eyes as I pull out my camera to capture a moment of sweetness.

There is an old barn by our house that we drive by when we're headed into town. We took Jameson's 3-month photos there, as well. It's so gorgeous with the dilapidated barn, sweet grass, and huge hay bales. It screams 'country charm'...
Since his 1st birthday party is going to be a cowboy party, I knew that I had to do a cowboy shoot while it was still warm! After church, we had some lunch, ran some errands, and headed to the barn.
I am pretty sure that Jameson is going through a growth spurt, as he's been sleeping 12-13 hours each night for the past 3 nights. He's also taking about 3 naps and wants to drink a bottle constantly. Picking up him up this morning, I can guarantee that he's gained at least a pound or 2 in the past week.

On Saturday, we went to the Big Shanty Antique Mall in Kennesaw. Marcus, Jennifer, Creed, and Ethan were our dates as we meandered our way through aisles and aisles of treasures. We stayed in there for at LEAST 2 hours... Fingering our way through the pages of old books, modeling hats, laughing at the strange looks we got while mentioning a VCR. 'What's a VHS?' Jameson sat quietly in his stroller, taking in each new row with enamored concentration. I wish that we could hear what babies are thinking... When their eyes get enlarged as they handle something new... passing it from hand to hand to look at each side. Watching him learn something new is so beautiful.
He has started learning so many words lately... It cracks me up to hear my 'baby' say words. He calls for Ruby, 'Wuubeeeeee.' He calls his bottle 'bah'. He has known 'Mama' and 'Dada' for a while now... but it still makes my heart smile and sing with pride when he wakes up and sleepy-smiles with a murmured 'Mama'.

On a different note, Jay and I celebrated 7 years yesterday. Wow...7 years together, and I fall for him more and more each day... I couldn't have picked a better person to walk through life with. He is such a great husband and such a great father... I am so blessed!!

Let the Coldness Commence!!

We got to Columbia at around 10:00 PM on Friday night. Everyone was around the fire wrapped in blankets and I had to shark-smile. Fall is here!! Bring on the caramel apples, heavy stews, and big mugs of hot cocoa! Everything about fall makes me happy, and nothing soothes the hurt of a summer gone too fast like some gorgeous fall foliage!

We stopped at a Cracker Barrel on the way home. It was like eating with a celebrity... Everyone kept stopping by our table and talking to Jameson. He is such a little ham... He smiles and waves and claps his way into the hearts of these waitresses, who then feel compelled to bring him everything from the kitchen and then forget to charge us for it! Hahahaha. A plate of biscuits, a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy, and a box of apple juice later he was good to go, and slept the rest of the way home.
We had to stop at MarthaAnn's to pick up Ruby, and Jameson TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS!! He took 2 little steps in the camper on Saturday night for Mom and I, but he stood for the longest time, and then walked to Jay!! It was amazing, we cheered and I got teary... I can't believe how big he is getting!! Seems like just yesterday I was laying in the hospital watching football with Jay, Mom, and Dad.... Waiting to meet little Jameson... and here he is walking around.
Anyways... Jay and I are now officially addicted to Pinterest!! We have been pinning for a few months now, and we have decided that we're going to try to do at least 1 thing that we have pinned each week!! I have my HobbyLobby coupons printed and ready to go, so we shall see what comes of it!!

September 12, 2011

First things first... Happy Birthday to my amazing Dad!! This picture is one of his notorious GameDay poses!! Hahahaha.
I won't get all sappy and talk about how my Dad is the best Dad and how great he is... but I will suffice it to say that my Dad is better than yours and could totally kick his ace in a fight... Just sayin'. :o)

Moving on, this past weekend was the infamous USC/UGA came... I dread this game every year. I live in GA, which means I am surrounded by UGA fans... Everywhere I look, a flag, a bumper sticker, a magnet... I am okay with this... but I know that Jay and I
take total pride in driving around with a magnet on every door, and our Gamecock flags flowing sweetly in the breeze as we fly down 75 avoiding any and all eye-contact. Ahh... football season is here!! YESSSSSSS!!

I must admit that when asked about favorite seasons, I unabashedly admit that my favorite season is FootballSeason!... The weather, the family time, the food, the great stories told *and retold* while tailgating... And by tailgating I mean squeezing elevendy-seven adults, 1 WWE-loving 10-year old entrepreneur, and an 8-year old princess who comes complete with a suitcase full of PollyPocket-sized toys, into a 1 bedroom RV.
I am the first to add to the brood in the last few years, as we now have a 9-month old with a penchant for sticking anything he can reach into electrical sockets...

This will be the first time we've ever taken him tailgating for the weekend, but I am SO excited!! It is so hard to believe that he is 9 months old. The last game that we tailgated, I was INCREDIBLY pregnant... This year has just flown by. We've already started planning the big FIRST BIRTHDAY BASH!... Where does the time go?

So here goes nothing...

I have a journal that I started when Jameson was born. I've written in it all about 10 times...
I'm going to ATTEMPT to be better with this blog. I have a lot of family that live in South Carolina, and we don't get to see them as much as I'd like, so I'm going to try to make this a 'What's Going On With Us' kind of thing...
Shall I under promise and over deliver? Yes... yes I will.
